Hi, it’s Rachel here, and like most of you I wear countless hats in a single day. For me it’s running a company, being a wife and mom, acting on stage (sigh of relief). It’s always a relief and sometimes even a surprise when I can sit back at the end of a long day finally take a second to reflect on the fact that I made it through!
One hat I forgot to mention, which I’m sure many of you can relate to, especially now: I’m also teacher to my four children. Although, I’ve been homeschooling way before this whole pandemic was a thing. It was around that same time that I decided to take my company, Check Off Your List, from me and an old computer to a rapidly growing, 6-figure company—thankfully my kids aren’t growing quite that fast.
As an actor, mother, wife, and business owner, I have learned the importance of a promise, so I give you my word that spending only 10-15 minutes a week with me will help you make the right decisions when it comes to work, family, and life balance. I know your time is priceless and a blessing, especially those precious minutes away from all the responsibilities of life. I know it’s a lot to ask you to spend some of your valuable time with me, but if you can just spare me those priceless minutes, I promise it will be worthwhile and with what you can take away from my story, maybe you’ll earn that time back, and more.
Ya know, a person much wiser than me once said that when the smartest of us need to make a decision—actually, I think this brilliant person phrased it as when they want to predict the future—they listen to the people who had to make a similar decision in the past and are now living that future.
