About Sue
Sue Cope Trahan is a former Boston news reporter, now obsessed with all things vintage, decorating and design. She lives in Columbus, OH with her husband of 15 years and their 3 year old Boxer, Lily. In May 2011, after a 25 year career as a news reporter and radio personality, she “retired” from broadcasting and became an entrepreneur, blending her creative and marketing talents.
Why Sue Started Her Business
“I remember as a little girl looking through my grandmother’s jewelry—earrings and necklaces and everything sparkled. She was even ahead of her time in that she displayed all her earrings on an old postcard stand that was about 5 feet tall and it was full of beautiful clip-on earrings. Most of my knowledge of fashion comes from my mother who to this day, has an amazing sense of style. She has such a beautiful way of putting things together, whether it be for a formal affair or lunch with the girls.
Now as a jewelry designer, I’m able to utilize those same skills. I love what I do SO much that my authenticity shines through when I’m showing you a new piece! One of the challenges I face when working with vintage and antique jewelry is to be certain that I honor the original craftsmanship of the piece. I‘ve spent years educating myself on antique jewelry so that my finished product can live on for generations to come.”
